Police are asking for information on an ice fisherman who may have fallen through the ice Friday afternoon just below Daniels Dam at Patapsco Valley State Park.

Maryland Natural Resources police said visitors noticed a hole in the ice around 4:40 p.m. and said they found a tackle box and boot were found nearby the hole. Officials said the hole, boot and tackle box were not there at 2:10 p.m.

Officials said first-responders searched the shoreline and water for an ice fisherman but did not find anyone.

Police said if you know someone who did not return home this evening from a fishing trip or you are the fisherman who fell through the ice and self-rescued, to please contact them at 410-260-8888.
