Comptroller to discuss State’s fiscal and economic climate

WHAT: Comptroller Franchot will speak Friday at the Rural Maryland Council’s spring quarterly meeting in Annapolis on the State’s fiscal and economic climate and the importance of rural Maryland. The Rural Maryland Council is an independent state agency that identifies and finds solutions to the challenges facing rural Maryland. Formed in 1994, the council’s membership is made up of rural leaders, government officials and representatives of the nonprofit and for-profit sectors.
