BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Severe weather is moving through Maryland.

WJZ’s First Warning Weather team is tracking the storms.

A Flash Flood Warning is now in effect for Carroll and Baltimore counties until 6:45 p.m., and for Montgomery County until 7:15 p.m.

Up to three inches of rain have already fallen in some areas, and flooding is already affecting traffic in at least one spot.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

There is also currently a Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Montgomery County through 5 p.m. There were previously warnings for Baltimore, Carroll and Howard counties, as well.
