[Fox Business] Man’s Grubhub delivery contained a cup of urine instead of a milkshake

A man in Utah reportedly received a cup of urine when he got a recent Grubhub food delivery.

ABC4 reported Caleb Wood “discovered that the cup delivered to me from the Grubhub driver was a warm cup of urine” after taking a sip from what he expected to be a Chick-fil-A milkshake. His order apparently included food from the fast-food chain as well.

The delivery happened last week in Saratoga Springs and involved a mix-up on the part of the driver, he told the local outlet.

“This is unacceptable, and we have absolutely no tolerance for this or any type of misconduct on Grubhub,” Grubhub told FOX Business. “We took immediate action with the driver and ended his contract with us. We also followed up with the customer to apologize and provided coaching to the first representative who was in touch with the customer.”

Wood said he received the cup of urine after the delivery driver mixed up the cup the driver used to urinate while working with the milkshake cup, according to ABC4. That was the explanation he said the delivery driver gave him, citing long work days.

GRUBHUB LAYS OFF 15% OF CORPORATE WORKFORCE

Grubhub reimbursed Wood the “actual cost of the food” but not the “delivery fee or the tip” as a refund a few days after he first contacted the company about the situation, Wood told the outlet.

Grubhub provides deliveries from restaurants in over 4,000 cities, according to a recent press release. It has been in business since the early 2000s.

[Fox Business] Pfizer quarterly results hit by soft demand for COVID-19 products

Pfizer on Tuesday reported its first quarterly loss since 2019 as demand for its COVID products dwindled.

Sales of the company’s coronavirus vaccine Comirnaty dropped 70% during the third quarter compared with the same period a year earlier. Sales of its COVID-19 treatment Paxlovid fell 97% from the same period a year ago, the company said.

Pfizer, which announced a $3.5 billion cost-cutting program earlier this month, slashed $9 billion off its 2023 sales forecast after agreeing to take back nearly 8 million Paxlovid treatment courses from the U.S. government.

Pfizer expects Paxlovid to remain available for free to Americans through the end of the year.

PFIZER SAYS IT’S EYEING A $110 TO $130 LIST PRICE FOR COVID-19 VACCINE IN U.S.

The company posted a net loss of 42 cents per share for the third quarter. Excluding one-time items, Pfizer reported a loss of 17 cents per share compared with analysts’ expectations for a loss of 34 cents, and a profit of $1.78 per share a year ago.

Pfizer also said it will book a $5.6 billion charge for write-offs related to its COVID inventory.

The company noted that the drop in revenue from COVID products would be partially offset by “expected operational growth” from its non-COVID-19 in-line portfolio, including new product and indication launches and recently acquired products.

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said the company is “encouraged by the strong performance of Pfizer’s non-COVID products in the third quarter of 2023.”

Revenue from Pfizer’s non-COVID products grew 10% operationally during the quarter.

In particular, Bourla noted recent milestones including the approval and launch of its RVS vaccine Abrysvo in the European Union as well as the U.S. approval and launch of Elrexfio, a medication used to treat adults with multiple myeloma.

Bourla said the company is also making headway on its acquisition of cancer-focused biotech company Seagen Inc.

[Fox Business] LARRY KUDLOW: This whole business about a ‘humanitarian pause’ is just politics

Will someone please tell me what’s the difference between a cease-fire and a humanitarian pause?

Now, here’s Secretary of State Antony Blinken at a Senate hearing today. Take a listen:

ANTONY BLINKEN: … We do believe that we have to consider things like humanitarian pauses to make sure that assistance can get to those who need it and that people can be protected and get out of harm’s way.

So, I remain confused. No cease-fire, but a humanitarian pause. Now, here’s the Oxford Dictionary definition of a cease-fire: “a temporary suspension of fighting.”

Today, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said this: “It is, however, the time to consider pauses in the fighting long enough so that folks like your relatives and family members can get this incredibly needed humanitarian assistance.”

HILLARY CLINTON SAYS THOSE DEMANDING CEASEFIRE ‘DON’T KNOW HAMAS’

Well, wait a minute. “Pauses in the fighting” sounds like a “cease-fire.” In fact, pauses in the fighting sounds a lot like “a temporary suspension of fighting” — which is how the Oxford Dictionary defines a cease-fire. So, I’m still confused. Now, why do the Bidens obsess over this so-called “humanitarian pause”? Because they’re trying to buy off the left wing of the Democratic Party.

OK, call it the far-left wing if you like, but they’re the rotten apples of the Squad — they hate Israel, are totally antisemitic, and support the Hamas barbarians. These barbarians, by the way, murdered 1,400 civilians on Oct. 7. They didn’t attack the Israeli military. They attacked defenseless civilians, who were mostly Israelis, but included Americans and people of many other countries.

But, back to the cease-fire. Or, is it a “pause?”

Prime Minister Netanyahu has a better idea: “We’re going out of our way to prevent civilian casualties. Not only by asking civilians to move, calling them to move, arranging a place for them to be, which is safe. Also putting in humanitarian support… ”

BLINKEN, ON GAZA AID, SAYS US HAS TO ANTICIPATE POSSIBLE ‘SPILLAGE’ OVER TO HAMAS

In other words, Israel will supply the humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians. Otherwise, as we all know, Hamas — or their pals in the U.N. — will steal the so-called “humanitarian aid” and that aid will be used to resupply the Hamas murderers. Mr. Blinken knows this. Gen. Austin knows this. Mr. Sullivan knows this. Mr. Kirby knows this, and President Biden knows this, too. This whole business about a “humanitarian pause” is just politics. Pure and simple.

Actually, the worst kind of politics, as Israel is fighting for its very existence. And, as the Wall Street Journal today editorializes, “while antisemitism is surging around the globe, even in the West, this shows how utterly important it is that Israel must win its fight for survival.”

Shame on President Biden and company for playing politics during wartime, but even if Team Biden tries to put the cuffs on the IDF, Israel and its leaders won’t let them.
