Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Friday, March 1.

Girls basketball

Hereford 58, Randallstown 12: The Bulls built a 20-6 lead after one quarter. Lauren Kraft scored nine of her 17 points in the opening frame. Eleven different players scored in the win.

Southern 66, Poolesville 31: Huntyr Marks led all scores with 19 points, while also handing out three assists. Sidney Shaw scored 14 points to go with six assists and three steals. Ava Wooster added 12 points and 15 rebounds.

Linganore 65, Westminster 34: The Owls’ season comes to an end with the loss. Maddy Gassman scored a game-high 21 points for Westminster. Jules Lesher added seven points.

South River 59, Arundel 21: Skylar Woodyard topped all scorers with 15 points while Karlee Hawkins added a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Cami Burke chipped in 12 points and five assists. Defensively, Hawkins had five steals, while Woodyard and Burke each had three.
