Sunny and warm weather will make it feel like early summer in the Baltimore area on Monday, though some isolated showers are forecast in the afternoon.

Temperatures are expected to reach a high near 82 degrees in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor on Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are forecast from 2 p.m. into Monday evening, with a 20% chance of precipitation in downtown Baltimore.

Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible and could bring damaging wind gusts and large hail, especially in areas south of Route 50, the weather service said.

Monday night is expected to be mostly clear, and Tuesday is forecast to be mostly sunny, with a high near 74 degrees. More showers are possible later in the week, with a chance of rain starting early Wednesday and becoming more likely throughout the day and into the night. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue into Thursday morning but wrap up for a mostly cloudy day.
