Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Tuesday, April 16.

Softball

North Harford 7, Joppatowne 3: The Hawks built a 6-0 lead after two innings and cruised to victory. Ashlie McMillan had a triple, double and two RBIs to lead the offense. Mackenzie Dunaway and Jenna Trzeciak also drove in runs. McMillan and Alison Smithson combined on the six-hitter. Smithson started, threw 3 ⅔ innings, striking out eight. McMillan pitched 3 ⅓ hitless innings with nine strikeouts.

Francis Scott Key 14, Winters Mill 2: The Eagles were trailing after an inning, but quickly remedied that by scoring nine runs in the second inning. Emma Taff and Madi Rill each drove in three runs in the win. Kendall Jackman, Jasmine Kline and Maddy Schoberg had two RBIs apiece, with Schoberg finishing with three hits. Kline and Rill combined in the circle on a two-hitter.

Baseball

Patterson Mill 9, Rising Sun 2: Travis Loewe had three hits, including a double, with two RBIs to lead the Huskies offense. T McInnis also drove in a pair. Chase Cichocki, John Teal and Noah Thomas all added RBIs to the win.

Boys lacrosse

Boys’ Latin 15, Mount St. Joseph 7: The host Lakers (9-1, 5-0 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference) extended an early two-goal lead with a 7-4 run in the second quarter and beat the Gaels (7-4, 1-3). Boys’ Latin was led by Spencer Ford with four goals, Colin Kenney with three goals and two goals each from Matthew Higgins, Parker Hoffman and Connor Sydnor.

Towson 22, Dundalk 1: The Generals had assists on 19 of their 22 goals in the win. Brody Donovan totaled 10 points – six goals and four assists. Fisher Putnam and Noah Vanik each scored five goals. Lucas Westerkamp totaled three goals to go with six assists. Ethan Richards chipped in two goals and three assists and Blake Katz also scored a goal.

Girls lacrosse

Towson 15, Sparrows Point 3: The Generals’ 15 goals were spread between nine different players. Gabi Galvez led the team with three goals. Leila Mazhari, Lily Franklin, Allie Kennedy and Charlotte Hemingway all scored two goals. Chloe Gibson had a goal and a team-high three assists.
