[Baltimore Sun] Suspect arrested, charged with attempted murder in June shooting at Harford Mall
A suspect wanted for a shooting at the Harford Mall in Bel Air nearly a month ago was arrested Sunday, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office said.
A 42-year-old man who was shot in the leg and hand at the mall was airlifted to a hospital and listed in stable condition June 2. Through digital and physical surveillance, police tracked the suspect to a hotel room in Anne Arundel County, where he was arrested around 1 p.m. Sunday and taken into custody by the Bel Air Police Department, according to the sheriff’s office.
The suspect has been identified by police as Wesley Larry Lyons, 35, of Edgewood. He is charged with three felonies — attempted first- and second-degree murder and first-degree assault. Two women with Lyons during the shooting were arrested and charged with accessory to first-degree attempted murder earlier this month.
