Boys & Girls Clubs of Carroll County celebrated the back-to-school season with a big surprise for kids and teens on Monday, unveiling technology improvements made possible through a $100,000 donation from Bridgestone Retail Operations’ “Bridgestone Driving Great Futures” initiative. Boys & Girls Clubs of Carroll County is one of three Clubs nationwide to receive a technology grant from Bridgestone this Year. The funds supported renovation of the Club’s computer lab, helped supply the club with 3d printers, Smart Boards, VR Headsets, a portable sound system, and additional tools for interactive learning. The “Bridgestone Driving Great Futures” initiative has raised more than $23 million to help kids and teens gain access to Boys & Girls Clubs resources across the U.S. since 2015.
