[Baltimore Sun] Baltimore weather: Flood advisories kick off week of rain, cloud coverage

A coastal flood advisory is in effect for the shoreline of Baltimore County and Baltimore City until 5 a.m. Tuesday as showers kick off the week, according to the National Weather Service. The shoreline of Anne Arundel County is also under a coastal flood warning until Sunday night.

Moderate coastal flooding will be possible in Annapolis and Washington, D.C. during times of high tide early in the week.

Sunday will be partly sunny with a drizzle before 2 p.m. and a high near 74 degrees. Moving into the evening, conditions will shift to mostly cloudy with a low of 63.

Cloudy conditions will carry over into Monday, which will have a high near 72 and a breeze around 7 miles per hour.

A chance of showers will appear Monday night after 11 p.m. as cloudy conditions move in. The low will be around 61 with an 8-mile-per-hour breeze and a 40% chance of precipitation.

The chance for showers will jump to 50% Tuesday. Conditions will remain cloudy, and the high will be around 71 with an 8-mile-per-hour breeze.

Tuesday night will remain cloudy, and the chance for showers will grow to 60%. The low of the evening will be around 62.

The chance for precipitation will reach 70% Wednesday as cloudy conditions continue. The high will be 74, and the low will be around 64. Conditions will shift to mostly cloudy headed into Wednesday evening, and showers will be likely before 2 a.m.

Showers will also be likely before 2 p.m. Thursday, with the chance of precipitation dropping to 40%. The high will be around 77, and conditions will be mostly cloudy.

Thursday night will stay mostly cloudy with a low near 61.

Friday will break the week-long streak of cloudy conditions, as partly sunny conditions will arrive before clouds return Friday night. The high will be 77, and the low will be 60.
