While Mr. Boh winks at Baltimore once again, the city’s skyline will gain a new look as the Domino Sugars sign lights up in support for the Orioles’ postseason run.

The Domino Sugar Baltimore Refinery will only illuminate the border and each set of “O” and “S” on the Domino Sugars sign, starting Sunday at 6 p.m. and every night of the O’s 2024 postseason run, according to a news release.

The sign will sport a new look for the second year after celebrating the team’s postseason stretch last year in the same fashion.

“Our team of employees is excited to get the chance to cheer on the Orioles again this postseason,” said Peter O’Malley, vice president of corporate relations for ASR Group, which owns the sugar refinery. “Those big orange letters in the skyline are our way of showing our support for the O’s.”

The sign sitting atop the 102-year-old refinery’s packaging building was renovated in 2021, about 70 years after it was built, to include aluminum letters and LED lights while preserving the sign’s original appearance. Each “O” on the sign is 20 feet tall, according to the release.

The Orioles clinched the American League’s top wild-card spot and home-field advantage through the first round of the postseason with a 7-2 win over the Minnesota Twins Friday. The team hadn’t made the postseason in consecutive years since 1996-97, which was also the last time playoff games were held at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in back-to-back seasons. For the second year, Camden Yards will host playoff games with at least two being played in October with tickets available for purchase online.
