A 33-year-old man was arrested Saturday in Florida in connection with an August double homicide in Frederick County.

Frederick County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 7000 Block of Mandalong Court in New Market around 7 a.m. Aug. 25 and found Crimea Baker, 33, and Sean Lange, 34, dead and shot multiple times, the sheriff’s office said. A preliminary investigation found that the victims were shot around 1:30 a.m., according to Frederick County Sheriff Chuck Jenkins. Police found four of Baker’s children inside the home unharmed, the sheriff’s office said. Lange is the father of one of her children and the victims were living together, the office added.

“In anxiously waiting for closure and the arrest of the person responsible, the public has been extremely patient and can now be completely confident that this was a targeted domestic-related murder,” Jenkins said in a news release.

On Saturday around 6:20 p.m., Fort Lauderdale Police officers and FBI agents arrested a 33-year-old Miami man on a warrant issued the day of the homicides.

The suspect is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and home invasion, and is being held in a Florida jail awaiting extradition to Maryland, according to the sheriff’s office.
