[Baltimore Sun] Armstrong Williams: Vice-presidential debate was a win for America | STAFF COMMENTARY

Read Time:44 Second

The vice-presidential debate was the most civil, pleasant and thoughtful debate I’ve witnessed in a long time. Say what you will about Tim Walz and JD Vance — yes, Walz certainly lied a lot and used tired Democratic talking points. But both candidates were respectful, spoke well and conveyed their points thoughtfully. This was a refreshing change of pace from the vitriolic, gotcha, talking-point-laden form of politics that we’re used to. Every American got the chance to hear the candidates’ actual positions and what real, qualified candidates truly sound like. Whether you’re voting for Donald Trump or Kamala Harris, this was a win for America and a win for democracy.
