Rap star Drake turns 38 today and like most people marking a birthday, he just wants to celebrate with friends or family.
See, he is just like us.
And while there’s a lot of beef out there, Drake wants his fans to enjoy some free chicken — maybe the best you’ve ever had — in honor of his birthday.
Dave’s Hot Chicken, where Drake is an investor, is offering a free hot chicken slider to customers today from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the restaurant’s 230 locations, including Owings Mills and Glen Burnie.
Here’s the catch — there really is none except you have to show up. No minimum purchase is required so you can just walk in and pick up your sandwich. You will need to download the restaurant’s app and scan a reward code to redeem the free offer. And there’s a limit of one free sandwich per person. No online orders or delivery.
This is the third year that Dave’s has offered a free sandwich for Drake’s birthday, but the chain that serves up hot chicken sliders and tenders with sides of fries, kale slaw and mac cheese, has only recently moved into Maryland.
Its first location in the state opened in Owings Mills in July 2023. A Glen Burnie outlet opened in mid-August and a Columbia location is set to launch later this year.
