A boy riding a scooter was killed in a crash in West Baltimore on Wednesday night.

Officers responded around 9 p.m. to the 1200 block of McCulloh Street in the Upton neighborhood and found that two minors, both male, were riding a scoot that collided with a Jeep, Baltimore Police said.

Medics took both boys to a hospital, where one was declared dead and the other is in stable condition, police said.

The driver of the car fled on foot while a passenger remained at the scene with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
