Over 7 million views and growing
Following the recent narrow victory in the Democratic primary by “Johnny O,” where he defeated Jim Brochin by 17 votes, the question the voters will now face is: “Who will they actually be voting for in the general election?”
You see, there is an old idiom that works well for this situation:
As another idiom infers, like father like son; especially since Johnny O Senior and Junior have been photographed together multiple times. The opportunistic media has been more than happy to snap pictures of this political dynasty.
What does this mean to the voters of Baltimore County, and how will this impact citizens if the Progressive Democrat Johnny O Jr. is to become the next county executive?
Let’s take a look.
The Baltimore Post will dig deep into our archives to provide some insight on this issue. These documents will reveal the behind-the-scenes issues that some voters may not even know exist. We believe it is important to reveal what lies behind a certain candidate’s agenda.
The Post will not overload our readers with too much information in one article, but rather break down specific issues over time as we head to the general election.
In this column, the Post will take a look at a couple of issues that run counterpart to the progressive party line of the far left Democratic Party.
In another article concerning the potential sale of the NPGC is where we learned of Councilmen Todd Crandell’s ultimate agenda. After his promise to defend the government center, Mr. Crandell ultimately turned his back on his supporters and never mentioned the issue again.
Now, back to the subject at hand. In this article published by the Post, you will see not much has changed since the days that Johnny O was a delegate, except for the rhetoric of his “tax-and-spend” Progressive Democratic Party line.
To illustrate how little has changed in the 7th Counilmatic and the 6th Legislative districts, we take you back to the time then Councilman John Olszewski Jr. and his counterparts revealed their stance on land development as they enjoyed a cozy relationship with developers.
We also take issue with Johnny O’s constant promise of transparency. Below is an example of Mr. Olszewski’s so-called transparency:

One would think this would be an issue a Progressive Democrat would jump at, but, as you can clearly see, there was no response from Johnny O.
Below is a copy of a letter from the Dundalk Renaissance Corporation pertaining to the North Point government center. It is important that you click on the document read the entire letter.
The backlash was apparent in this letter to the editor to the Post. The intent of this letter is stated in the second paragraph and subsequently restated throughout the document.

After reading the letter you will notice the familiar names listed on the side as members of the board of directors of the DRC. It seems not much has changed in the way of politics on the East side of Baltimore County except for the fact that – the same old crowd is waiting their turn to take over again.
Now what is rather interesting concerning this letter is that when we mentioned Mr. Olszewski, Jr. wife’s name, he immediately decried our mention of a family member. Apparently, this whole process has changed since Johnny O now frequently parades his entire family around at the forefront of his bid to become Baltimore County Executive.
We will talk about this in another column, but we feel it is improper for a candidate to expose his family to this kind of publicity.
We will have much more on what we consider to be a political family dynasty attempting to reclaim its power.
