[Baltimore Sun] FOX45: Three teens arrested after armed carjacking leads to police-involved crash

Baltimore Police arrested three 17-year-olds in connection with a carjacking in Northeast Baltimore that resulted in a police-involved crash on Tuesday.
The armed carjacking occurred in the 3000 block of Frisby Street on Oct. 1 at approximately 10:35 p.m.
Officers said the suspects approached the 21-year-old victim while walking in the 3000 block of Frisby Street.
Officials said the suspects produced handguns, demanding the victim’s property.
The suspects then entered the victim’s Toyota and fled the location. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
On Oct. 2 at approximately 4:30 a.m., officers working a “crime suppression detail” were alerted to a stolen vehicle traveling in the area of Frankford Avenue at Belair Road.
Officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the suspects attempted to flee from officers.
The suspect then struck the patrol vehicle head-on.
Officers arrested all three suspects following a brief foot pursuit in the 1600 block of Sherwood Avenue.
The officer involved in the crash was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two of the suspects were transported to the Juvenile Justice Center for processing, while the third suspect was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged as an adult with armed carjacking, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and armed robbery.
