Update: The Baltimore Post has learned that over 1,o00 young people were involved in this riot. In addition, the Post has learned that the overflow of suspects taken to the Dundalk Precinct is now being transported to the Essex Precinct. Baltimore Post reporters stated that many of the youths were deliberately taunting the police officers.

The carnival had over 1,000 patrons when altercations started to break out. At this point, security officials at the carnival attempted to shut down the event at which point the situation started to spiral out of control and the Baltimore County Police were contacted.

In one of the videos captured by a Post reporter, one of the youths made the following statement referring to the police, “Did you see me F – with them.

In addition, the Post is learned that a member of the Baltimore County Media Relations unit is headed for the parking lot of Staples for a news conference.

This is the second riot in less than the month at the troubled Eastpoint Mall.

Baltimore County Police reported over 20 arrests mostly for disorderly conduct. There were no injuries reported.

The Baltimore Post has just learned that another riot has shut down the Eastpoint Mall Carnival. Eyewitness accounts estimate that over 40 police units are at the scene including agencies from MSP, along with the Maryland Department of Transportation Police. Witnesses also reported K-9 units along with police helicopters hovering over the area.

This is not the first time these types of instances have occurred at the carnival. Witnesses also described the carnival has been shut down and the entire area is sealed off by police.

The Baltimore Post has dispatched several reporters to the location.
