In February 2019, the Baltimore Post sent an email to County Executive John Olszewski Jr. asking if his administration would keep Baltimore County a “sanctuary county.”
The Post received the following response:
Hello Buzz,
Baltimore County is not a sanctuary town. Here is the Executive Order signed by then County Executive Kevin Kamenetz. It remains in effect. You can see the text of the Executive Order in this article:

That reply is typical from a progressive/socialist/liberal Democrat like Johnny O because it is the direct opposite of what the truth is concerning Baltimore County’s status.
The following is a recent directive from Mr. Olszewski’s office that is in direct contrast to what we were told months ago.
We Continue To Stand With Our Immigrant Communities
This immigration issue is at the forefront on the local, state, and federal levels. It is one of the main concerns among voters in the upcoming presidential election. From our standpoint, Johnny O has joined the current Democratic presidential candidates who vow to open U.S. borders to illegals and grant them full access to all of the benefits afforded to U.S. citizens.
Among the current crop of Democratic presidential hopefuls, it is quite clear that each candidate is moving further to the left by making outrageous promises that realistically cannot be kept due to the tremendous cost.
The Post decided to question the status of our county after viewing the very hostile reception that the county executive received at the East Side Town Hall Meeting, which can be seen in the video below.
One particular resident describes how illegals live in what are often referred to as “hothouses.” That term describes the conditions when multiple people live in a home that far exceeds the county health code.

We hope our readers will understand the impact of Johnny O’s continuation of the previous administration’s sanctuary status for Baltimore County. Especially since we’ve received several complaints involving more hothouses.
If one takes the time to read the following law, it would be quite clear that Johnny O is in violation of Title 8 of the U.S.C.
Title 8, U.S.C. § 1324(a) defines several distinct offenses related to aliens. Subsection 1324(a)(1)(i)-(v) prohibits alien smuggling, domestic transportation of unauthorized aliens, concealing or harboring unauthorized aliens, encouraging or inducing unauthorized aliens to enter the United States, and engaging in a conspiracy or aiding and abetting any of the preceding acts. Subsection 1324(a)(2) prohibits bringing or attempting to bring unauthorized aliens to the United States in any manner whatsoever, even at a designated port of entry. Subsection 1324(a)(3).
In closing, what Johnny O is doing to Baltimore County, especially on the east side, will impact the property values negatively due to illegal immigration and Section 8 housing.
The Post truly believes that Johnny O’s agenda will eventually do what the likes of Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and other Democratic presidential hopefuls will do: turn this great nation into one of abstract socialism.
