At one time, people thought the Earth was flat until science stepped in and proved that theory to be wrong. Today, with the benefit of hindsight, we see beliefs like that as ridiculous or absurd.
Sadly, we have someone running for president who seemingly makes the people that believed the world was flat look like utter geniuses.
First, avowed Progressive/Socialist/Democrat Bernie Sanders promoted open borders by decriminalizing illegal immigration and clambered on about free healthcare for everyone.
Did we mention he also wants every taxpayer to pay more taxes to provide free college education?
Among the current list of Democratic presidential candidates, it appears to be a battle of who can move the most to the left. It now appears that Mr. Sanders has moved so far left that, if the world was indeed flat, his entire campaign would fall off the edge into oblivion.
To top his recent proposals, candidate Sanders now wants all felons to have the right to vote while incarcerated.
Digest that for a moment.
Imagine the possible consequences of such an irresponsible act for small communities where prisons are located.
But, wait. It gets worse.
Not only does Mr. Sanders want felons like the Boston Marathon bomber to vote (presumably for Democrats), but he also wants them to receive a living wage while in prison.
Because nothing says, “Pay your debt to society” like receiving a full-salary paycheck while you get your meals and housing paid for, folks.
Like we said earlier, he’s so far left that he’s off the globe.
With this kind of left-wing rhetoric, the Democratic party will continue to implode. And that very well will guarantee President Trump a landslide victory in 2020.
