Dialogue our world NEEDS to hear: Dragnet’s Jack Webb, “What is a Cop?”

It’s amazing to find moments from so long ago that remain so poignant today.

We found the speech below, which was taken from a segment of the famous TV series Dragnet. This particular episode was produced in 1967, yet the words have just as much meaning today as they did back then.

This is for the men and women who serve on the front lines of the war against anarchy in our country. One of the biggest obstacles to justice in this nation is corrupt politicians who exert their control over the leadership of various police departments, forcing them to refuse to protect the lives and property of the citizens of the United States.

One particular recent incident involved the far-left liberal Democratic Mayor of Portland, who so righteously joined the so-called ‘peaceful’ protesters in a “listening session.” (Spoiler alert: All he heard were sounds of the protesters mocking and heckling him.)
