Following up on our exclusive breaking news item, The Baltimore Post received an update from Joy Stewart, Director of Public Affairs for the Baltimore County Police Department, regarding the incident that took place on June 3, 2021.
According to Ms. Stewart, detectives made three arrests in connection to a warrant executed at the Youni Spa in the 9300 block of Bel Air Road.
The individuals detained and charges are as follows:
- Chuanmin Tu, 23, was charged with practicing massage without a license
- Chuanlan Lyu, 52, was charged with practicing massage without a license
- Ying Li, 50, was charged with prostitution and practicing massage without a license
We remind our readers that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
According to our sources, these types of establishments have been plaguing our region for years. Advertisements in the newspaper always announced the arrival of ‘fresh talent’ at these spa/massage parlor locations.
Kudos to Ms. Stewart and the BCPD for following up with our requests for information. This type of transparency and information sharing has been sorely lacking in the past.
