We’re proud to say, “We knew her when…”

Ann Costantino, a former staff writer for The Baltimore Post who wrote some incredible investigative pieces about BCPS and other topics, is receiving some national accolades for her work.

Ann, alongside WBFF-TV Project Baltimore, earned a National Headliner Award for “Continuing Coverage” with the entry “Shredding,” which revealed that Baltimore County Public Schools shredded financial documents.

Ann partnered with Project Baltimore on this and other BCPS shredding stories.

The judges made these comments about the winning entry:

“An amazing amount of research into shredding of documents in the aftermath of a financial scandal in Baltimore County Schools. It produced results: a criminal investigation was instigated, and a new retention policy developed.”

Meanwhile, the “Shredding” story about Baltimore County Public Schools’ destruction of financial documents also was nominated for a Capital EMMY and for an Associated Press award in the “Outstanding Specialty Reporting” category. The winners of those two awards will be announced at a later date. Ann again partnered with Project Baltimore for the shredding stories.

Please join us in congratulating Ann on the recognition of her outstanding work.
