NAACP lowers the bar for excellence significantly when it lauds BCPS superintendent

What in the hell were they thinking? Superintendent of Baltimore County Public Schools Dr. Darryl L. Williams received the 2021 Excellence in Education Award from the NAACP Baltimore County Chapter. Did they simply ignore all the issues with the school system when they chose him? (Photo Credit: WYPR)

Folks, we’re still trying to wrap our heads around this one.

The Baltimore County Chapter of the NAACP gave its 2021 Excellence in Education Award to Baltimore County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Darryl L. Williams.

Several questions come to mind:

  • Were there no other nominees?
  • Were there no parents of BCPS students on the nomination committee?
  • What the hell were they thinking???

We just don’t get it.

BCPS is just as much a mess now as it was when Dr. Williams assumed his position.

Don’t believe us? We’ll let some tweets do the talking on this one:

We could keep going, but what’s the point?

How could the NAACP get this so wrong?

Anyone who believes Dr. Williams is promoting excellence within this broken-down school system is fooling themselves.

But, when you run a school system that continues to have a complete lack of transparency, we suppose it is easy to pull the wool over peoples’ eyes.

Meanwhile, Dr. Williams and his top-heavy administration simply laugh their way to the bank, so to speak.

Remember that when it comes time to go to the polls, folks. Johnny O gave us more than two billion reasons to vote against him.
