Once again, Johnny O’s choice for police chief has shown her disdain for the rank and file officers who work for her.

According to FOP Lodge 4, Chief Melissa Hyatt, who is proving to be a worse choice than the dementia patient ‘Brandon’ in the Oval Office, recently voted to end all basic rights for police officers accused of misconduct.

Folks, the criminal justice system is based upon the notion of ‘innocent until proven guilty.’ Every suspect and perpetrator is granted that presumption, even if he/she is standing over a body with a bloody knife screaming, “I DID IT! I DID IT!”

So why don’t the police officers who risk life and limb to protect our county get the same courtesy???

Because Chief Hyatt said so.

It makes us sick that Chief Hyatt’s power trip continues to damage a once-great police force. Cops are leaving the department in droves because of low morale, and this latest daggar will probably institute a whole new wave of departures.

Yet Johnny O, who hand picked the nightmare running the department, will sit idly by and find other ‘hot button issues’ to occupy his time … like retrieving old crab pots.

We couldn’t make this stuff up if we tried, folks…
