So much for transparency, eh folks?

The lack of information coming from the Baltimore County Police Department continues to shock and disappoint many residents. In the latest ‘zip of the lips’ incident, the department is refusing to release information about the shooting near Towson that took the life of an 8-year-old child.

Here are some chilling words from the FOX5 News story about the shooting:

Police announced on Thursday that a juvenile was charged in the deadly shooting, but by law they cannot release the suspect’s information due to their age.

Police also say they cannot release details about the victim due to their age.

Once again, the BCPD public information team is hiding information that could be vital to the public.

But why are they not releasing this information after County Executive Johnny O and Police Chief Melissa Hyatt promised increased transparency?

Simply put, these two so-called leaders will only release information that makes them look good.

Our county executive also released a statement that contained no real substance. This was nothing more than a politician’s lip service:

County Executive Johnny Olszewski on Twitter: “Any incident of gun violence is tragic, and even more so when it leads to the death of a child. All of Balt Co grieves with the family who lost a child last night. @BaltCoPolice is investigating the incident & more details will be shared when appropriate. https://t.co/tESFOeUBqL / Twitter”

Check out that last line, folks. More details will be shared when appropriate.

When will it be more appropriate to release the info, Johnny? Why can’t the public know what happened to that poor child?

At least there are others who are questioning this complete lack of transparency. Fresh off her retirement from the lamestream media, former WBAL-TV reporter Jayne Miller is no longer handcuffed from speaking out on the silence coming from Commie Johnny and his handpicked failure of a police chief:

Jayne Miller on Twitter: “8 yr old girl shot to death in a Baltimore County home.’Juvenile’ now charged.Incident demands more detail.Whose gun? Why wasn’t it secured? What led to the shooting? Where were adults?https://t.co/L3jDeY41gG / Twitter”

You’ll remember that The Baltimore Post has had numerous Public Information Act requests ignored by the BCPD and Baltimore County. Sadly, we can’t even get an attorney to sue the county because they’re all afraid of the backlash that will surely come from the county.

In a somewhat related note, we’ve been informed that the county’s Office of the Inspector General is advertising for two new hires—an attorney to work with the ethics commission and an investigator. We can only hope that IG Kelly Madigan will turn her attention to the Olszewski administration and the BCPD public information office and expose their misdeeds and coverups.

But we doubt that will happen, especially with Steve “I’m going to clean up the corruption in Baltimore County” Quisenberry still on Johnny O’s payroll.
