Delegate gives tips on how credits help taxpayers

I love this photo concept

Before I share some good news from Delegate Bob Long, I want to make a “short and sweet” promise to my readers.

I have been thinking about the length of some of my blogs. Although I am a stickler for details, I may have stuck around too long (no pun intended), becoming a little “long in the tooth,” as the saying goes.

So, with that in mind, I have decided to “cut to the chase” more and stop writing blog posts that rival some published novels in length. The goal is to get more information out to the voters so they can make informed decisions about their elected officials.

With that out of the way, I have some good news to share with all home owners and renters in Maryland—news that can save you some money!

The news involves the home tax credit.

Delegate Bob Long had made that subject an issue in his campaign, and he wanted to remind all of my readers to apply for the home tax credit whether you are a home owner or a renter.

The goal, of course, is to allow tax payers to stop using four-letter words while writing checks to the legacy of Martin O’Malley and his $2 billion deficit.

But, in the interest of staying brief, I digress.

Delegate Long is working on making it even easier to apply for these tax credits, and his experience in the real estate arena will certainly help.

Delegate Long said he is putting together a “how-to, step by step list” that I can post here to help you navigate the arduous process. In the meantime, I will list some websites with some information—and trust what Delegate Long says about the system being a bit of a cluster:

I’ll keep you posted on Delegate Long’s fight in the “asylum” to make sense of all this technical gobbledygook.

Now, how’s that new and improved bit of news? A few nips and tucks and the package is right at your fingertips.

On a final note, Delegate Long also wanted to let the voters know that there’s a lot going on that will take a big stick to quash. The Delegate is about to start swinging said big stick, so stay tuned for more details.

Meanwhile, let the battle begin!
