A large contingent of ATF agents raided a house in the 6800 hundred block of Redrose Way in Dundalk during the predawn hours of February 22.
Residents were rattled by what was first perceived as gunshots, but the racket appeared to be the use of a flash bang type of device. Entrances and exits were blocked off by the agents, who were all wearing some type of body armor marked with the ATF insignia.
Some people reported seeing an armored vehicle present at the scene, but that could not be confirmed. Some residents captured Facebook images of the raid in progress. Both the front and back of the home were breached in the raid.
This reporter viewed FB images of the raid that showed the whole back of the home illuminated by search lights. In addition, agents were seen taking boxes–presumably containing evidence–from the location. At least two vehicles parked in front of the home were also searched.
No one reported seeing anyone being taken into custody, although someone exited the home and repeatedly drove around the block while talking on a cell phone. After numerous trips around the block, the vehicle returned to the residence.
Later in the day, workers were seen repairing the front door to the home.
No other details are available at this time.
