A Baltimore County District Court Judge upheld a peace order against Cliff O’Connell, who is an ardent supporter of Councilman Todd Crandell.

A copy of the peace order was obtained by The Baltimore Post and is shown below. The name of the victim has been redacted.

This matter maintains relevance to the 7th District Republican councilmanic race, which encompasses all of Dundalk and parts of Essex. The Post has covered this race extensively.

The issue became volatile when a Republican write-in candidate, Mr. TimFazenbaker, entered the race against incumbent Councilman Crandell. Mr. O’Connell has donated large sums of money to the Crandell campaign. To be fair, though, we will point out that numerous other political candidates also received money from Mr. O’Connell.

Mr. O’Connell is the head of the Core group, a collective of community activists located in eastern Baltimore County.

When contacted for a comment about the peace order, Mr. O’Connell made the following statement:

“I would love to comment but due to some legal actions I am taking I cannot.”
