Parents packed the auditorium at Carver High School tonight to hear about the situation the district is facing.

There’s projected to be a shortfall of seventeen hundred high school seats.

And by 2027, Catonsville, Perry Hall, and Towson are predicted to be desperately overcrowded.

Families with middle school students are worried about what the next few years could bring for their children.

“I’m very concerned by the time she gets to high school just how overcrowded in addition to the conditions, especially at Towson and Dulaney.  I think that has to be considered as well as but looking at potential boundary changes with that could do to traffic and bus systems and how early these kids have to get up for school it has a big ripple effect.”

Parents got to learn about the seven potential solutions the district is considering to the overcrowding problem.

The next meeting will take place Monday at Dundalk high school at 7.
