Update: The Baltimore Post has made several attempts to gain more information regarding our earlier story pertaining to the assault of a Baltimore County Police SRO officer at the Holabird Middle School. The Post had several conversations with the Public Affairs Section of the BCPD in an attempt to further clarify this article.
The Post was advised that the report had not yet been written we would be contacted upon its completion. At this time police officials would provide no further information regarding the assault.
The Baltimore Post finally has received confirmation from the Baltimore County Police Department that a school resource officer was assaulted at Holabird Middle School on May 30, 2019.
The Post has been in contact with school and police officials about this incident, but we were unable to get confirmation until now. The Post also was advised that additional information will be forthcoming.
Social media posts first alerted us to this incident, which is just the latest in a string of violent acts at Holabird Middle School. We hope that the new superintendent of schools will be able to curb the problem, particularly since this latest act of violence was aimed at a police officer.
