State Prosecutor Emmet C. State Prosecutor Emmet C. Davitt stated. “His strong work ethic, vast institutional knowledge, and wise counsel will be missed.

McDonough. who joined the Office in 1984 after serving as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Baltimore County for three years. participated in every major investigation and prosecution that the OSP has undertaken. In recent years, he co-litigated the successful prosecutions of Baltimore City Mayor Sheila Dixon, Anne Arundel County

Executive John Leopold and the 2010 voter suppression robo-call case involving political operative Julius Henson and former Ehrlich campaign manager Paul Schurick. Most recently, he spearheaded the investigation and indictment of former Baltimore County Superintendent of Schools Dallas Dance.

“Mike has been the consummate public servant”, Davitt further commented. He worked tirelessly, never sought personal recognition and always remembered that he was here to serve the citizens of Maryland.”
