An 83-year-old Dundalk woman died after being hit by a car Saturday about a block from her home, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

The woman landed on the hood of the gold 1999 Saturn, where she laid until medics arrived. The accident occurred at around 5 p.m. Saturday during the Festival of Lights. The woman was crossing Dundalk Avenue near Baltimore Avenue when she was struck.

Police identified the woman as Elisie Laura Green, 83, of the 100 block of Center Place, which is about a block south of the accident. Green “was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased,” according to a police press release Sunday.

The driver of the car, which was traveling north on Dundalk Avenue, remained on the scene, according to the press release.

The female driver of the vehicle was distraught and complained of being sick, according to a witness.

“The Baltimore County Police Crash Team is currently investigating this incident. No further details are available at this time,” the press release stated.
