Our nation is dying a slow death according to bestselling author

In 2011, bestselling author and pundit Pat Buchanan wrote a book titled Suicide of a Superpower. The book focused on our decline as a nation, and Buchanan asked if America can even survive to the year 2025.

Blogger’s tangent: I just had a flashback to the Zager and Evans hit song “In the Year 2525.” Take a listen—it may be closer than you think.

Folks, we have lost our way in a changing world that, in my opinion, is on a collision course with the most destructive self-imposed cancer. Our nation is being besieged by liberalism, the “me” generation, and a President who continues to deceive the nation into his “Kumbaya” progressive agenda filled with lies and deceptions.

Don’t believe that last point? Let me remind you of this little ditty: “You can keep your own doctor.” And there are many, many more examples of this deception.

Still not convinced? How about this one: “Over the last four years, the deficit has gone up, but 90 percent of that is as a consequence of President George W. Bush’s policies and the recession.”

I rest my case, your honor…

The truth is that, when Obama came into office, our debt level was at $9 trillion. Now it is $18 trillion and climbing. President Obama has spent more of our tax dollars then any president in history.

But it doesn’t stop at the Executive Branch. The Supreme Court’s ruling on affordable care is another deception in several ways. First, it’s not the Supreme Court’s job to override the laws enacted by the states and, for the most part, run our country. Has anyone else ever heard of states’ rights?

Put aside whether you agree or disagree on the issue of gay marriage and look at the legalities of the issue.

Two of the female justices on the court had participated in the marriage of gay couples. For that reason, they should have recused themselves from hearing the case due to conflict of interest. How can you impartially weigh the evidence in a case when you’re already firmly on one side of the issue?

Remember, the argument is not about gay rights or any other issue—just about the legalities. Many political pundits are calling for change, such as Senator Ted Cruz, who said that the court has overreached its boundaries and has acted beyond its constitutional authority.

Getting back to Buchanan and his book, he says America “…is being transformed into a multiracial, multicultural, multilingual, multiethnic stew of a nation that has no successful precedent in the history of the world.”

Pretty strong words, right? But the results are speaking for themselves. Liberalism is being pushed down the throats of today’s young people, who are being raised by technology rather than their parents. Look at the education stats in our world rankings. The young are inundated with far left messages of “all play and no work make a good Democrat.”

I will stand up and speak the truth, which I have always done, despite being called every name in the book by those on the left who claim to seek justice, as long as it’s their concept of justice.

NBC recently fired Donald Trump for his comments on the Latino immigration issue, despite the fact that 80% of all women who cross the southern border into this country have been raped. Those are stats from the Mexican Government.

What is surprising is that everyone who was reportedly outraged by Trumps comments will defend Al Sharpton and other liberals—many of them white—who call proud White Americans racists and bigots.

Another mess in this nation is the flag debate. The Confederate flag is supposedly a sign of hate, yet people burn the American Flag without any second thoughts.

Check out this video on banning the American Flag:

And finally this piece by Bill O’Reilly just about says it all:

So, this Fourth of July, will we wake up as a nation and see that those stars and stripes are starting to fall off the flag? Probably not, but we should.

As for me, I say, “Who pays the bills? Who fights the wars? Who protects the public safety?” It ain’t the left. They’re too busy attacking those who oppose them to the point that violent crime is now rising everywhere because of it.

I have never met someone from the left who was little more than cannon fodder when it comes to discourse over this attempt by ideologues to demonize our great nation.

If anyone believes liberalism is the key, head over to Greece and see how that worked out for that country. Imagine not being able to go to the bank or ATM to gain access to your money.

For those that really like the left, be sure to stay away from Italy, where they are no longer accepting immigrants from other war torn nations.

For the history buffs, just think about the fall of Rome and compare it to our modern society. That makes the picture suddenly take on a more realistic form.

I say to the far left (like Hillary), “If there is a better place to live, then please be my guest and don’t let the door hit you in the butt on the way out.”

Just don’t tell me I can’t speak my peace when our wounded warriors are demonized, the cross honoring our dead military is now a symbol of PC-ness and no longer allowed, and many other far left ideas of what America should be, as opposed to what it has become, is an entirely different matter.

Pretty soon they’ll ban the American Heroes Channel, the History Channel and any other history that offends someone somewhere for something.

You can’t run from history, no matter how fast you progressives want to.

So this Fourth of July remember one thing; conservatives outnumber liberals by over a 2 to 1 margin.

With this in mind, stand up with the Flag and don’t cower for the values that made this a great nation; the country is stronger than that.
