Ocean City is facing an overseas enemy that could destroy the beautiful view from its pristine that has been a sight to behold.

In order to put this column in proper perspective, please read our previous article detailing the same issues; those issues are now becoming even more dangerous than previously predicted.

This enemy is a ‘Trojan horse.’

The following is a quote from DelmarvaNow.com, one of Ocean City’s leading news authorities:

The Skipjack Wind Farm, led by Danish company Ørsted, and the MarWin Wind Farm by Baltimore-based U.S. Wind, a subsidiary of the Italian renewable energy company Renexia, are being reviewed in response to concerns raised by Ocean City officials about the farms’ impact on tourism to the famous vacation spot.

The bottom line is this whole nightmare, other than a potentially devastating blow to the beaches of Ocean City, is the tax burden incurred by the middle class, who will have to reach deeper into their pockets for an overseas corporate crony to live off our dime.

The final decision will rest in the hands of the Maryland Public Service Commission, which will determine whether or not our country should be invaded yet again with consequences that will forever impact one of our scenic treasures.

Hopefully Gov. Larry Hogan will think long and hard before making a decision that will forever change one of Maryland’s gems.

Especially since it truly will be another ripoff of American taxpayers.

Maybe before making that decision, the governor will hear what the President of the United States has to say on this travesty of global corporate greed.
