After an article appeared in The Baltimore Sun revealing that the Olszewski campaign had received, and would return, a $1,000 donation from embattled Baltimore City Mayor Catherine Pugh’s ill-fated Healthy Holly LLC book deal, The Baltimore Post filed a PIA to make sure the money was returned.
The Post received the following email from Mr. Olszewski’s campaign treasurer:
As the saying goes, “The proof is in the pudding.” And, in this case, the check contained plenty of pudding.
Although, we wonder if it was just a coincidence that the check was written on the exact same day, March 19, 2019, that The Baltimore Sun published its article on Pugh’s various campaign contributions.
STOP THE PRESSES! (That’s easy to say when you publish digitally, folks.)
Our phones are ringing off the hook. Someone is screaming about a Baltimore County tax increase.
Johnny O, please say it ain’t so!
Sadly, folks, it appears to be true. But this time, it will be the taxpayers writing the checks, which will go straight into the mismanaged county coffers.
Stay tuned for the premier bout between the taxpayers and the Baltimore County political social/progressive establishment in yet another attempt to take our money for their benefit.
It really is us versus them, folks…
