Students an staff at Catonsville Middle School were evacuated Friday afternoon after reports of an unusual odor inside of the school.
The Baltimore County Fire Department says some students are being treated for non-life threatening symptoms from the odor, but they are still not sure what it is. The odor was reported around 10:17 a.m. and the school was evacuated about an hour later.
The school is being evacuated as a precautionary measure as crews continue to ventilate the building and try to identify the problem. The school is also closed for the day at 1 p.m.
All students and staff are being moved to Westchester Elementary School until the problem is fixed.
