A pedestrian was killed in a hit and run accident Wednesday night in Windsor Mill, Baltimore County Police said.
The accident occurred around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Security Boulevard and Lord Baltimore Drive. Police believe the pedestrian was struck while trying to cross Security Boulevard by a car traveling westbound on that road. A subsequent accident occurred when her body was thrown in the direction of a 2005 Acura MDX, also heading west on Security Boulevard.
The pedestrian, Mariam Idowu Adeleke, 24, of the unit block of Brubar Court in Baltimore, was pronounced dead at a local hospital around 10:40 p.m.
The driver who initially collided with Adeleke fled the scene. The driver of the Acura remained.
Police are asking for help searching for the car that fled the scene. It was described as a dark colored sedan. Anyone with information can contact the Baltimore County Police Department or call 911.
