According to a published report released by Bankrate, take a look at where the state of Maryland finished in the best and worst places to retire in.

The rankings were based on the following criteria:

  • Cost-of-living
  • Weather
  • Crime
  • Taxes
  • Culture
  • Seniors
  • Well being

The first place position went to the state of New Hampshire. The worst state to retire in was Alaska.

The Baltimore Post has long reported in our local coverage that the cities of Dundalk and Middle River were listed as the 10th and 9th worst places to live in the state of Maryland.
