The first phase of the long-anticipated independent auditor’s report regarding BCPS is expected to be released at tonight’s board of education meeting in Towson.
According to sources familiar with the process and knowledge of the report, this will be the “first installment” regarding a multitude of BCPS issues. In an earlier article, the Post outlined some of the items the audit report will address.
Anyone interested in viewing the BCPS Board of Education meeting at 6:30 pm can view the live stream, which should reveal the tumultuous years of Dr. Dallas Dance’s tenure as superintendent.
The audit report is expected to reveal information about the STAT program and the technology agreements with various vendors related to the program.
In addition to the technology contracts that eventually led to the downfall of the Dance there is a demand for transparency from politicians that are not appearing to be very transparent.
The fuse on this potential powder keg has been lit, and the resulting fireworks could lead to some serious questions regarding the operation of BCPS.
