[Baltimore Sun] Two men found with gunshot wounds during traffic stop, Baltimore police say

Two men were found with gunshot wounds in Southwest Baltimore during a traffic stop overnight, Baltimore police said.

Around 3:51 a.m. on Saturday, officers stopped a vehicle for speeding on the 500 block of West Mulberry St. in the University of Maryland neighborhood, according to a news release.

During the traffic stop, officers found that the driver, a 44-year-old man, and the passenger, a 45-year-old man, had non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, according to the release. Medics transported both men to a hospital to receive treatment for their injuries.

Officers learned that the two men were shot on the 2700 block of West Franklin St. in the Rosemont homeowners and tenants neighborhood which is about two miles away from where the car was stopped.
