[Baltimore Sun] Taneytown garage fire under investigation
A fire in a Taneytown home’s garage that caused $70,000 in damage is under investigation by the Office of the State Fire Marshal, according to a news release.
At 9:21 a.m. Friday, the Taneytown Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 6200 block of Taneytown Pike for a report of a garage fire. It took about 20 minutes for 30 firefighters to control the blaze, according to the fire marshal. No one was injured.
The fire, which was discovered by the home’s owner, burned in the attic of the two-car garage, according to the Monday release. The fire remains under investigation.
