[Baltimore Sun] Iran merits a strong, internationally coordinated punishment | READER COMMENTARY

Read Time:40 Second

Armstrong Williams is completely on point with his assessment of Iran’s futile efforts to escalate hostilities with Israel (“Armstrong Williams: It is time to punish Iran,” April 15). By endangering their Arab neighbors, Iran has shown the world what a pariah state they are, as if more evidence was needed.

So all their proxy troublemakers, including Hamas and Hezbollah, have in one day gone from being the oppressed underdogs to feared aggressors in the world’s eyes.

Nobody wants to start a hot war in the region but a strong international coalition funded by regional petro-dollars needs to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to commercial traffic and completely isolate Iran economically.
