The recent letter from M.H. Brown regarding reproductive rights and men (“If women must face criminal charges for abortion, men should, too,” April 19) lacked some specifics.
If those who facilitate abortion procedures or medications are to be punished for it because they are going against God’s will, then surely the “little blue pill” and vasectomies should also be banned.
Forcing the female half of a successful conception to be constantly and consistently “blamed” for unwanted pregnancies is beyond absurd. Each and every male of the species, the carrier of the sperm, is equally responsible and should understand that fact from the time he is old enough to spell the word.
Maybe there should be more women writing the laws regarding abortion! Maybe only women should be writing those laws!
