Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Friday, April 26.

Boys lacrosse

McDonogh 13, Mount Saint Joseph 4: The visiting Eagles (9-3, 6-2 MIAA A Conference) opened with a 6-0 run and beat the Gaels (7-7, 1-6). McDonogh was led by Luke Miller (4 goals, 2 assists), Blake Resnick (3 goals), Bogue Hahn (2 goals, 1 assist), Hunter Metz (1 goal, 3 assists) and Brendan Millon (1 goal, 2 assists). The Eagles travel to John Carroll and Mount Saint Joseph travels to Calvert Hall on Tuesday.

Archbishop Spalding 14, Severn 7: The visiting Cavaliers (10-4, 5-2 MIAA A Conference) went on a 4-0 run over the final 5:41 of the third quarter to pull away from the Admirals (6-9, 2-5). Brady Mollot (4 goals, 1 assist) and Gordie Bennett (2 goals, 1 assist) each scored twice during the run. Andrew Beard had a hat trick for Severn. Spalding will host St. Paul’s and Severn will travel to Loyola Blakefield on Tuesday.

St. Mary’s 13, John Carroll 10: Attackman Jake Parker had a hat trick for the Saints, who outscored the host Patriots, 7-1, in the second quarter to seize control. Attackmen Than Souza and James Brimhall and midfielder Ganon Cope all totaled two goals and an assist. Goalie Logan Earl made eight saves.

Glenelg 12, Howard 4: Tim Iannarino scored four goals and assisted another, and Chase Buscher had a hat trick for Glenelg. Chris Iannarino scored twice while Zach Coughlin made 12 saves. Jayden Denicola scored twice for Howard.

Girls lacrosse

Century 23, Pikesville 0: Ryley Poe, Becca Harvey and Bella Garcia each had hat tricks for the Knights, who had 12 scorers. Madi Prietz and Madi Leach each had a goal and three assists, while Hannah Baglin had two goals and two assists.

Marriotts Ridge 10, River Hill 9: Sarah Fitter had three goals while Bella Boats, Allison Custer and Katie Leader each scored twice for the Mustangs. Charlotte Laraway notched four goals for the Hawks, while Katelyn Sauritch had two goals and an assist.

Long Reach 18, Oakland Mills 0: The Lightning won their fourth game in a row as Alaina Norton had a game-high six points (4 goals, 2 assists). Chiara Pompei scored five goals, while Bella Mooney had a hat trick. Seven Long Reach players scored.

Mt. Hebron 18, Centennial 5: Kaitlyn Magdar and Ellie Smith each scored five goals to lead the Vikings’ offense. Both Olivia Hoover and Rebekah Stotler each had two goals and an assist. Claire Whipkey had a hat trick for Centennial.

Gerstell 10, St. John’s Catholic Prep 9: The visiting Falcons (10-4, 7-0 IAAM B Conference) trailed by a goal and scored twice over the final 90 seconds in a come-from-behind victory over the Vikings (11-5, 5-2). Maggie Kennedy scored the tying goal, which was assisted by Whitney McIlvain, with 90 seconds left and Cambrie Franks scored the game-winner with one second left.

Bryn Mawr 10, John Carroll 9: Maryland-bound Julia Ward made eight saves, including the 500th of her career, but the visiting Patriots (8-5, 7-4 IAAM A Conference) fell to the Mawrtians (5-9, 5-6). The win ended a four-game losing streak. Bryn Mawr travels to Severn and John Carroll hosts Maryvale Prep on Monday.

North County 10, Glen Burnie 3: Maggie Blankford had four goals and three assists to lead the host Knights. Other top scorers for North County were Riley Sheets (2 goals) and Lily Castle (2 goals, 1 assist). Cheyenne Ponder made 13 saves for Glen Burnie.

North Harford 12, Harford Tech 4: Emily Wilson had two goals and six draw controls to lead the host Hawks. Reagan Cadden and Caroline Nicholson also scored a pair of goals, while Nicholson had four assists and Peyton Dawson made 14 saves.

Softball

Havre De Grace 13, Joppatowne 4: Taylor Martinovich picked the win, pitching 4 1/3 innings and striking out seven. Martinovich helped her cause at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a three-run homer. Sarah Weitzel went 2-4 with a solo home run and a single. Brooke Wolinski-Butz also went yard with a solo shot in the bottom of the fourth inning. Emily Wagenfeiler went 2-for-3 with two singles and two RBIs. Kinsey Mentzer went 2-for-3 with two singles and an RBI.

Sparrows Point 5, Carver A&T 1: Alexa Bienkowski, Lacy Miller and Abbie Sies each had two hits and an RBI for the Pointers. Miller earned the win in the circle, pitching 6 2/3 innings and striking out five.

Glenelg 3, Mt. Hebron 1: Madison Stouffer went 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead the Gladiators. Rylie Thomas also had two hits while Bella Wisniewski earned the win, pitching 6 1/3 innings. Mackenzie Brooks went 2-for-4 while Abby Magdar pitched two innings for Mt. Hebron.

Marriotts Ridge 14, Oakland Mills 1: The Mustangs scored eight runs in the first to break the game open. Sienna Williams, Biff Lorah, Gianna Peluso, Ella Groff and Lamees Bazzi each drove in two runs. Lorah earned the win, striking out four in four innings.

Century 9, Manchester Valley 3: Jordan Currie went the distance and struck out 10 to lead the host Knights over the Mavericks. Hannah Marasco had three hits, Caylee Clark and Abby Mastria each had two hits and two RBIs and Rileigh Coyle and Mackenzie Carver each had two hits for Century.

Francis Scott Key 12, Westminster 7: Winning pitcher Jasmine Kline recorded her 400th career strikeout and Emma Tawney got her 100th career hit to lead the visiting Eagles. Kline went six innings, gave up seven runs on five hits, walked eight and struck out seven.

Baseball

Wilde Lake 4, Atholton 3: Andrew Varga hit the walk-off single in the eighth for the Wildecats, who picked up their second straight win. He finished with a team-high three hits, while David Carroll had two hits and two RBIs and Bryan Putman and two hits and an RBI.

Manchester Valley 8, Century 4: The visiting Mavericks broke a 4-4 tie by scoring four runs in the ninth inning and beat the Knights. Tyler Vonella (1-for-3) had three RBIs and Gene Magin (2-for-4) had an RBI and a run scored.

Marriotts Ridge 12, Oakland Mills 2: Malcolm Parson had four hits and two RBIs while Owen Snow had two hits, including a double and an RBI, for the Mustangs. Wyatt Anderson went the distance for the win striking out six.

Fallston 4, North Harford 0: Zach Stromberger threw a complete game shutout, allowing four hits and striking out four, to lead the host Cougars (8-3, 7-3 Harford County) over the Hawks. Drew Rommel got Fallston on the board in the bottom of the second with a sacrifice fly. The Cougars added two more in the third inning on RBI singles from Nate Slicher and Aidan Deck. Paul Kvech drove in the final run in the fifth inning on a groundout. Slicher went 2-for-3 and Drew Murphy had a double.

Broadneck 6, North County 2: Winning pitcher Noah Forman gave up two runs on three hits and struck out three in seven innings for the host Bruins. Nick Cicale added a three-run double and Mike Swick hit a two-run double.

Boys tennis

Marriotts Ridge 5, Hammond 0: Felipe Arantes Gabriel and Tyler Wang won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, 8-0 and 8-2, respectively. Tobi Iniyemi and Jerry He, Sai Anuj Chodavarapu and David Liu, Caleb Choi and Alex Xiang each won their doubles matches.

Atholton 5, Wilde Lake 0: Aryan Singh and Tristan Carter won at singles for the Raiders. Jason Lilly and Sam Li, Nikhil Ramani and Jacob Tagawa and Aiden Kwon and Philip Wang won.

Girls tennis

Marriotts Ridge 5, Hammond 0: Stella Lee and Aditi Gandhe won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles both by scores of 8-0. The doubles pairings of Vin Badugu and Christina Ottman, Maria Ottman and Mahika Juneja and Cici Huang and Sandrine Roh also won.

Wilde Lake 4, Atholton 1: Gaargi Bora and Katie Plasse won at No. 3 doubles for the Raiders.

Mixed doubles

North Harford 7, Bohemia Manor 4: Logan Harrity and Eric Valenza won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles for North Harford. Emma Clayton and Stella Manns won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles for North Harford. The girls doubles pairings of Cara Dyke and Jenna Roh and Savannah Johnson and Emily Johnson each won, as did the mixed doubles pairing of James Cassidy and Mekenzie McCann.
