A party bus carrying 24 people struck a highway guardrail early Sunday morning in Harford County, killing one person and sending multiple passengers to a hospital, according to police.
Northbound lanes of Interstate 95 were still closed at mile marker 77 on Sunday morning as Maryland State Police probed the crash scene. A bus emblazoned with the name “Just Becuz Entertainment Party Bus Service,” a Philadelphia company, was pulled over to the shoulder.
A preliminary investigation found the driver of the bus had lost control “for unknown reasons” at about 6 a.m. Sunday and struck the guardrail south of exit 80 onto Riverside Parkway in Belcamp, state police said in a news release.
One passenger, who was not identified, died at the scene, and “multiple other passengers” were taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, state police said at about 9 a.m. No charges have been filed.
