[Baltimore Sun] Havre de Grace city leadership unchanged after 2024 election
City leadership in Havre de Grace will remain the same after four officials ran uncontested in the 2024 elections.
Three of the six City Council members – Casi Boyer, Tammy Lynn Schneegas, and council president Jim Ringsaker – appeared on the ballot May 7 along with Mayor Bill Martin.
Martin secured his fifth, three-year term as mayor to continue his nearly 17 years of service as an elected official in Havre de Grace.
Prior to being elected mayor in 2015, Martin served as a City Council member for seven years, three of which he served as a council president.
Boyer, Schneegas and Ringsaker will serve another two years.
Of the reported 12,254 active registered Havre de Grace voters, only 461 – or 3.7% – cast ballots in the 2024 elections, according to a report May 7 from the city. According to the report, 459 standard ballots were cast on election day along with two provisional ballots.
