Towson University football has announced it will play two road games against Navy — one in 2026 and another in 2030.

The Tigers will make the trek to Annapolis on Sept. 5, 2026 and again on August 31, 2030. Those two contests will be the season opener for both teams.

Navy and Towson have met just once previously. Slotback Shun White ran wild as the host Mids beat the Tigers, 41-13, in the 2008 season opener. White rushed for 348 yards, which remains a single-game Navy record.

Towson was originally scheduled to play local rival Morgan State on the date in 2026 it is now playing Navy. The school announced the Morgan State game will now be played on Sept. 19.

Towson posted a 5-6 record in 2023 under first-year coach Pete Shinnick. Navy notched a 5-7 mark under first-year coach Brian Newberry last season.
